La chanteuse nigériane Tiwa Savage a reçu le prix du meilleur artiste africain aux MTV Europe Music Awards 2018 qui s’est tenu le dimanche 4 novembre au Parc des Expositions de Bilbao en Espagne. Opposé à Davido, Shekinahm Fally Ipupa, Nyashinski et Distraction Boyz, la diva nigérianne a su tirer son épingle du jeu,  en devenant ainsi la première artiste africaine à remporter ce prix.
Sur son compte Instagram, Tiwa Savage a remercié Dieu et tous ses fans pour leur soutien immense depuis le début de sa carrière.
